Rockstar has revealed the GTA 6 collector’s edition, and it’s packed with Vice City-themed gear. What it doesn’t have is the game. The “Goodtime State: Vice City Collection” box costs $399.99 (£349.99 in the UK) and is sold separately from the actual game.

What’s inside the box
There are 11 items, all inspired by “Macca the Gator,” the fictional Leonida TV show from inside the game. No disc, no redemption code, no way to actually access the game.
What’s in the Goodtime State: Vice City Collection
- 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a hidden stash compartment in the base
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses matte black, Prizm Sapphire lenses, pink GTA VI logo
- New Era 9FORTY snapback hat embroidered with “Vice City Leonida”
- “Leonida Keys” crossbody bag ripstop material, black and pink lining
- Magnetic mirror, shot glass, and swizzle spoon all Vice City themed
- Keychain, enamel pins, and stickers packed in a tin and a stash bag
- Double-sided poster with a full map of Leonida
Why fans are annoyed
The backlash was immediate. Kotaku summed up the mood in one headline: “We Wanted Jason and Lucia, and We Got an Alligator Instead.” IGN reported fans directly comparing it to Red Dead Redemption 2’s collector’s edition, which also shipped without the game but was seen as offering sturdier pieces for the price.
- $399.99
is the price of the box alone. The game costs extra.
How to buy it
Pre-orders opened on September 24, exclusively through the Rockstar Games Store, with stock described as “very limited.” Shipping is set for November 19, the same day GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
