Microsoft hasn’t finalized the full lineup yet, but you can already start planning for October: seven games are officially confirmed to hit Xbox Game Pass next month, according to a roundup from Pure Xbox. And the headline name won’t surprise anyone.

Gears of War: E-Day arrives October 6 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud, telling the origin story of the saga fourteen years before the first Gears of War — with Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago facing the Locust Horde’s first emergence. The game brings back Horde mode in a revamped form (Horde Siege) and promises to be the most immersive Gears yet, built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.

- Echo Weaver — Series X|S, PC, and cloud (October 8), a metroidvania about mastering an unraveling time loop.
- Deep Dish Dungeon — Series X|S, PC, and cloud (October 13), cooperative dungeon exploration for up to three players.
- Valor Mortis — Series X|S, PC, and cloud (October 13), about a soldier from Napoleon’s Grande Armée revived by a supernatural plague.
- Beyond These Stars — PC (October 15), city-building on the back of a sentient space whale.
- The Séance of Blake Manor — Series X|S, PC, and cloud (October 27), a supernatural investigation set in 1897 on the eve of Halloween.
- Terrible Lizards — Series X|S, PC, and cloud (October 29), horror at an abandoned dinosaur theme park.
Worth noting: September isn’t done yet either — Microsoft still has Dune: Awakening, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and Minecraft Dungeons 2 on the way before the month wraps up.
